The year-long collective efforts of artists, performers, and musicians culminated in the West Indian Carnival Celebrations, Labor Day weekend in Brooklyn. King Jab and 2J 7 Friends kept the jouvert spirit alive, supported by musicians, including Kutters, Hearts of Steel, Philly Pan Stars and others, as the performers followed the traditional route through Flatbush.

Mas Camps and Panyards, pop up spaces, in Brooklyn neighborhoods open during the warm months. Costumes are made and displayed, and steelbands practice.
